Elegance was one requirement for this 8ft tall diamond, designed for the launching of Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds perfume. Additional requirements were that the unit be knock down for shipping and be delivered in 2 weeks! The base is constructed from medite, for weight, which is then covered by acrylic mirror. An octagonal center pole runs the full height from the center of the base. The pole is slotted to receive eight mirrored acrylic fins. Facets of 3 & 4 sides are constructed in clear acrylic and then mounted to the fins, with clear tape, to achieve the look of a cut diamond. The mirror creates a reflection resembling the brilliance of a fine diamond. Next stop for this display is on a stage with Liz Taylor!
