And you thought Liz Taylor had the biggest diamond! This ring was designed to be part of the signage outside a jewelry store. One of the most important considerations was the weight of the piece. It was to be hung above an entrance so it needed to be light weight. The diamond was built from balsa wood which was then covered with acrylic mirror. The ring and diamond mounting were crafted of expanded PVC which was bent and glued to shape. After leaving our shop the ring received a coating of gold paint completing the look of a real diamond ring! Material: acrylic mirror and white expanded PVC
