Our Design Process
Architectural Plastics provides design services at several levels to aid our clients in their plastic needs. Our goal is to provide you with the best application for your individual requirements. The various levels of design are listed below:
A Complete Design
This client has comprehensive drawings of his design but the manner of fabrication may not apply to the plastics materials selected. For this client we will produce a set of drawings that reflect plastic fabrication procedures for production purposes.
Partial Design Specifications
This client has a general idea of what the design should look like as well as size and cost restrictions. For this client we will suggest a product design that will meet his needs as well as meet the requirements for plastic fabrication. We will then provide shop drawings and a prototype as required.
Basic Concept
The client has a rough idea of what his design should look like and may describe its function in at least some detail. We will work with the client to refine the design, and prepare sketches preliminary to the final drawings appropriate for a finished product. Cost and functionality are discussed to create a final design. A prototype may also be produced if necessary prior to production.
