PG&E requested a display that would be used to emphasize the need for safety in the home. The display was intended to imitate the effect of an explosion in the home. The unit is made of clear polycarbonate (to withstand force) featuring a gas inlet and a spark igniter. Upon ignition the spring-loaded roof jumps and the hinged walls fall down.
