This Corian Lap Guitar was designed for a musician and is modeled after the 1947 Rickenbacker Bakelite Guitar (one of the first plastic guitars). Intricate inlay work was done on the fretboard to achieve the look of frets although this model guitar does not have any "real" frets. Thermoforming was used to achieve the smooth curves of the edge banding. The guitar is fully functional providing excellent acoustic properties.
