Background

The main entrance foyers of both offices feature Corten self-rusting steel panels on the ceiling & wall. In front of the wall are Lumasite panels which are lighted up. This evokes a glowing ambience, enhanced by the glass fibres cast within each sheet.

Design Goals

The meeting Pods are raised on a timber platform and enclosed by a series of beech ply ribs cladded with Lumasite sheets. A hovering bulkhead above lights both the meeting table and the Lumasite wall, creating a glowing translucent skin.

Aesthetics

The beech frame encloses and holds Lumasite panels creating a sculptural presence for a meeting at Tai Seng Drive. All workstations are in clusters of 2, 4, 5 & 6 encouraging teamwork & group dynamics. Centred in each department is a semi-enclosed meeting "pod". Each pod has a different shape and this creates individual identities for each department.
